Who Am I?

I am an Intentional Interim and Transitional Ministry Specialist in the United Church of Christ. Currently serving Seekonk Congregational Church UCC in Seekonk, Massachusetts, I have previously served four congregations as Intentional Interim Pastor, including the newly formed Covenant Partnership of Lakeville United Church of Christ in Lakeville, Massachusetts, and North Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Middleborough, Massachusetts. I am an Interim Consultant in the Southeast Region of the Southern New England Conference, a role that is developing as the need for such consultants grows. I’m also the Moderator of the Old Colony Association.

I’m a faculty member of the Interim Ministry Network and serve as a member of the Manual on Local Church rollout team for the United Church of Christ. My other professional interests lie in non-seminary lay leader education and ministerial preparation through PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc., where I am Academic Dean, facilitator, and course writer; and helping people discover that science and faith are not incompatible. My doctoral dissertation from Lancaster Theological Seminary was an intergenerational, hands-on science curriculum for church use. I am also an alumna of the Sinai and Synapses Fellowship, 2017-2019 cohort.

I hold a Masters of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Soviet and East European Studies from Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies (then in the College of Liberal Arts).. I reside in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where I enjoy cooking, reading, and binge watching science fiction television shows.

In addition to all of this, I grew up in a military family and learned to join systems early and easily, which I think is why Interim Ministry is such a natural fit for me. I say I’m a Texan by nature and nurture even though I was born in North Carolina. Sitting on Grandpapa’s knee watching the Dallas Cowboys as a baby and Friday Night Lights in high school will do that to you!
